Bircher Muesli
It's snowing, again. I thought the ground hog said winter was over. I guess he was wrong. I'm seriously thinking about kicking him for getting my hopes up. I'm that tired of winter. And when I am cold, I don't want to move. I don't want to clean, do laundry go to work, or even cook. Sadly, my family still thinks I am supposed to feed them. Rude, right? So after lying on the couch under a pile of blankets perusing my cookbooks, I decided to make easy breakfasts for the week. I found this recipe for Bircher Muesli in my cookbook, Clean Green Eats by Candice Kumai . If you are unfamiliar with muesli, you are not alone. It was a introduced in the 1900s by Dr. Maximilian Bircher-Benner, who prescribed his patients a diet rich in fruits and vegetables as part of their therapy.
