Could This Be Love: Book Review

So it's been about a month since I introduced you all to the Cates Brothers with the book Bringing Delaney Home. Therefore, I think it is time to meet one of the other brothers and delve into the second book in this series, titled Could This Be Love.

Could This Be Love? (A Cates Brothers Book Book 2) by [Kilraine, Lee]

In this book we are introduced to Sijan Cates, a Hollywood actor who is visiting Climax to get away from the tabloids. While at home, he begins to seriously ponder what he wants to do when he is done being a star. He also sees the relationship between his brother Quinn and Delaney, and thinks maybe he wants something more.

Enter Avery Danford. She is a pet commercial producer with a problem. Her overly dramatic sister needs a favor, and she just doesn't know how to say no. Avery comes to Climax with her business partner Pia, and before we know it, Sijan Cates is her business.

Once again, the diner provides a central location to this novel. Here we run into Agatha and Beatrice. They are still meddling with the love lives of the Cates brothers and share a little more information about their fabulous lives. Henry Lee is still interviewing for a new mom, but doesn't want to eat broccoli.

Reading this book is almost like going home to visit people we love. Sure it's predicable and a little cheesy, but sometimes that's what I need in a book.

Favorite Quotes:

Don't use sperm and cake in the same sentence. - Ch 1
Seriously. This is not something Pia should have to say. The idea of a sperm cake..... GAG. Not sure why this is a real thing.

A Group Of Student Midwives Baked Some Pretty Amazing ...

News flash: real women have curves. Well, women who like to eat, at least. - Ch 5
Darn right. Unless you have super metabolism or a lot of time to work out, chances are you have curves. I have had boobs and a butt for as long as I can remember. I'd like to get rid of my mommy tummy, but maybe after I am sure I am done having babies.

I mean vibrators are useful, but they aren't men. - Ch. 13
I'm pretty sure this doesn't need any explanation. Don't get me wrong, being single is fun, and a girl should be able to take care of it herself, but it's just more fun with a partner.

So, I am recommending this book as a little light reading and a good laugh.
Give it a scan, and let me know your favorite parts and opinions.

Happy Reading,
Kristie
